MF Family Home Care is based at 21 College Road in West Yarmouth, on Cape Cod, and works with families from the Outer Cape to Boston, the Merrimack Valley and central Massachusetts.
Distance matters more in home care than families expect. A caregiver who lives forty minutes away can still be reliable on a Tuesday afternoon and impossible at six in the morning in February. That is why the towns below are not a marketing radius — they are the places where we can actually keep a schedule.
Every town below has its own page, with the hospitals, the drive times and the practical detail for that specific area.
The care does not change. The logistics do.
On Cape Cod the constraint is the season and the bridge: in summer a twenty-minute drive becomes an hour, and caregiver availability is squeezed by housing. Off Cape, in Boston, Quincy or Lynn, the constraint is parking and the building — a third-floor walk-up is a different job from a ranch house with a ramp.
None of that changes the hourly rate. It changes what we can promise about timing, and we would rather tell you that on the first call than discover it in week three.
If your town is not on the list, telephone and ask. The answer is often yes.
The questions families ask us most, answered plainly.
Usually within a few days, and sometimes sooner. We answer the phone at night and on weekends, because hospital discharges do not wait for Monday morning.
We build the schedule around the household rather than a fixed block. Tell us which hours are hard and we will tell you honestly what we can staff.
Yes. Our caregivers speak English, Portuguese and Spanish. Tell us which one your parent is most comfortable in when you call.
We accept long-term care insurance, which frequently covers exactly this kind of care. Some veterans and surviving spouses also qualify for VA benefits toward it. We are not a Medicare provider.
That is the most common call we take. Two hours, one task, the same caregiver every visit works far better than argument. Acceptance comes from familiarity, not persuasion.
We cover the shift. A schedule that only works when one person stays healthy is not a schedule.
We answer 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The first conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
